Email from Séverine and Belledonne Grimpe

Séverine Roy is back in France after her recent trip to Ireland. After coaching the CYCC climbers in the Mardyke she headed to the Gap of Dunloe with some CYCC members where they dodged the rain and did some cool (and dry-ish) climbs on the Ceim crag.

Séverine and her partner Stefan then travelled up the west coast where after a trip to the Aran Islands, they managed to get some climbs done in Allaidie. Check out her photos. Séverine summed up climbing on the Clare coast as follows:

..Then we had 3 days in Doolin. And we have been lucky to get a wonderfull sunny day (last friday) to go and climb in Allaidie. Nobody there, I was surprised. The place is very nice, I confirm and climbing very interesting. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, close to the sea, no bolt, nobody... Not usual in France at all.

We think Séverine enjoyed her trip Ireland and we plan to stay in touch with her and her club Belledonne Grimpe

And some final words from Séverine that have us looking forward to the future:

I already talked during climbing training with children about the trip, about Irish young climbers, and one asked me: well, when do you bring us to Ireland?

And why not indeed!
